Do you know what really grinds our gears? Pundits, websites and especially journalists claiming to be impartial.
Football is a passionate game, it unites and divides in equal measure and our view is that it is impossible not to be partisan. Even if a journalist did not grow up supporting a team, they will have particular leanings towards certain clubs, players or managers. This may be because of meeting them at press conferences, covering them for a particular newspaper or more suspiciously because they may have ghost written the autobiography of said player/manager. They never tell you that of course as they hide behind a facade of impartiality. Football fans should treat with care every article or tweet by a journalist as the subtext is not alway clear.
We have not hidden agenda, we don’t work in football and have not ghost written any books. We have no corporate paymaster. This site is put together by fans for fans.
The Triumvirate are three football lovers who blog about general football subjects that inspire, delight or irritate us. We are unashamedly biased but transparent about our club affiliations. This site answers the question of what happens when you combine a Manchester United stalwart, a Liverpool mad Scouser and a radical Manchester City hate cleric!
